Dorothy Jean Jarrett, 71, of Clyde passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born August 14, 1953 in Tiffin, the daughter of Leonard and Joyce (Gibson) Echelberry.
She grew up in Republic and attended Republic School until its’ consolidation. She was a 1971 graduate of Seneca East High School. She enjoyed reading suspense novels and going shopping for her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved supporting her boys in their athletic events of basketball, wrestling, track, and football.
She married William Jarrett on October 10, 1975 at Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue; He survives along with their two children: Michael Jarrett and Daniel (Amy) Jarrett, both of Bellevue; 3 grandchildren: Carter, Avery and Jude; brothers: James Echelberry of Lorain, Scott Echelberry of Republic, Donald Echelberry of Tiffin, and Chris Echelberry of Florida; one sister, Jane Thacker of Attica; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; Jean is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law: Paul B. and Kathryn (Ball) Jarrett; brother-in-law, Paul T. Jarrett; and sister-in-law, Fawn Jarrett-Doerner.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
