Donald Harkelroad

Donald Harkelroad, 84, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at The Bellevue Care Center.  He was born September 8, 1936 in Sandusky, Ohio the son of Norbert and Helen (Fritz) Harkelroad.

Don served in the United States Army and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Knights of Columbus. 

Don worked at Immaculate Conception School as a custodian as well as a school bus driver.  Don owned and operated “Don’s Pizza” in Bellevue for many years.

Don married Carol (Tarnowski) on September 19, 1959, at St. Patrick’s Church in Lockport, New York; She preceded him in death in 2011. 

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Harkelroad of Bellevue; and brother, Gene Harkelroad of Sandusky.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don is preceded in death by his brother, David Harkelroad and two sisters, Geraldine Woodin and Marilyn Harkelroad.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  A funeral Mass officiated by Fr. Kyle Gase will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2 at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
