David S. Wadsworth

David S. Wadsworth, age 73 of Clyde, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. David was born April 28, 1948 in Sandusky, the son of the late William and Genevieve (Debo) Wadsworth.

David graduated from Clyde High School in 1966. After high school, David’s love of aviation led him to furthering his education, and eventually graduating from Bowling Green State University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He spent many years in the aviation industry. He served on the Congressional Blue Ribbon Panel, studying U.S. pilot and technician shortages, the General Aviation Action Plan Coalition, the FAA/Industry Partnership, and many more. David was a longtime member and very active at Clyde First United Methodist Church. Outside of aviation and church, David had many hobbies, such as: music, motorcycles, woodworking, pottery, and fishing.

David is survived by his son, Kristian Wadsworth Landstrom of Connecticut; brother, Kevin (Mary Beth) Wadsworth of Huron; friend, Tammi Lewis of Huron; numerous nieces and nephews; and many in-laws.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Lou (Cleary) Wadsworth; son, Jacob Wadsworth; and siblings: Patrick Wadsworth, Dean Wadsworth, Theodore Wadsworth, Thomas Wadsworth, and Kathleen Kramer.

Friends will be received Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 2:00pm until a memorial service beginning at 4:00pm at Clyde First United Methodist Church, 510 West Maple Street, Clyde, OH 43410.
