David A. Seeley, 85, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his home. He was born February 19, 1941 in Sandusky, Ohio the son of Albert and Beatrice (Potter) Seeley.
David managed the former Food Town in Bellevue from 1985 until its closure. After “retiring” he opened Cold Rush in Bellevue in 2003. He loved his grandchildren, ice cream, and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed spending time at the islands and built his own house on Middle Bass. He was also a collector of trading cards and enjoyed attending card shows over the years.
Dave is survived by his wife, Carol (Maltese), whom he married July 17, 1999 on Middle Bass Island; 3 children: Cindy Lawson, Sherri Lawhead, and Kris Simcox; step-children: Brad Hoffman, and Sabrina Allen; 11 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Seeley Jr.; and daughter, Debbie Schwanger.
Close friends and family will gather to remember Dave on Tuesday, May 5 from 4-6 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Food and refreshments will follow at the Midtown Event Room, 221 East Main Street, Bellevue.
