David McKeever

David A. McKeever, 74, of Clyde jumped into the arms of his Lord, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 surrounded by his family.  He was born May 21, 1950, the fifth child of Donald A. and Treva (Burch) McKeever.

Dave was the only one of his clan to graduate high school.  He became the youngest senior dog warden in the state of Ohio at the age of 21.  It was a job he truly liked, but the bigger the family, the more income was needed so he went to work at Whirlpool.  In 1987, he found sobriety and continued to work the 12 steps every day since.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Cotterman), whom he married June 14, 1969 in Fremont; son, Jason (Misti) McKeever of Fremont; daughter, Kelly (Tami) Tharp of Tiffin; 3 grandchildren: Madison, Kayla, and Joshua; 4 great grandchildren: Angel, Gabby, Gerard, and Julia; and a sister, Linda (Hans) Hintze of Fremont.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers: Donald, Patrick, and John; and sister, Donna Lee.

David wanted to thank his loving wife, Linda for 55 plus great years; His daughter, “Nurse Kelly”, and son Jason, for all the little things they did during this journey along with the numerous nurses and staff of Stein Hospice and anyone who visited and prayed during this time.

Friends will be received on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde.  A graveside service will begin on Monday at 1 p.m.  at McPherson Cemetery.
