David Lee Arp

David Lee Arp (Dave), 72, of Bellevue, OH went to be with his Savior on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the Bellevue hospital. He was born September 27, 1952 in Atwater, OH to Ervin and Jennie (Lattimer) Arp. David was a 1970 graduate of Bellevue High School. He married the love of his life Debra L. Beiler on June 21, 1985 at Faith Bible Church in Bellevue. 

David started and pastored Trinity Baptist Church in Bellevue for 17 years, stepping down in 2013 due to his health. He also worked at Armstrong Air Conditioning in Bellevue for almost two decades until the company moved, and then began working at Certainteed in Avery, OH. 

Dave was a dedicated husband and father who valued his family more than anything other than his Lord, and he enjoyed being with his 6 children and all 12 of his grandchildren. He loved serving at his church, Norwalk Baptist Church, where he regularly taught Sunday School, preached, and volunteered at the food bank twice a month. After his family and church, Dave’s other passions included riding his Harley Davidson, listening to and singing music, and his pitbull dog, Miles. Dave was known by all as a joy-filled friend and wonderful example, who never met anyone he couldn’t and didn’t want to talk to. He regularly stepped in to help those struggling or needing a helping hand, and he never hesitated to tell them about his Lord Jesus.

David is survived by his children; Joshua David (Katie) Arp of Norwalk, Autumn Joy (Joshua) Miller of Stuart, Fl, Caleb Lee (Kelsey) Arp of Vickery, Matthew Wyatt (Anna) Arp of Norwalk, Harmony Grace (Daniel) Miller of Fremont, and Stephen Daniel (Katelyn) Arp of Fremont; his siblings, brother Steven (Lisa) Arp of Republic and sister Penny Arp of Flatrock; and 12 grandchildren. 

David is preceded in death by his wife, Debra L. Arp, his father and mother, Ervin and Jennie Arp, his sister Susan Sieger, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Barbara Beiler. 

Friends will be received on Monday, March 3 from 5-7pm at Foos & Foos Funeral Home, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, Ohio and on Tuesday, March 4 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Norwalk Baptist Church, Norwalk, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at Norwalk Baptist Church, 2084 US-20, Norwalk, OH 44857 on Tuesday March 4 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Lyme Township.
