Darin Gill, age 60, of Clyde, OH, passed away on April 14, 2026, at his residence. Darin was born on June 19, 1965, the son of the late Larry Gill and Connie (Mathias) Snyder.
Darin proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, carrying with him a deep sense of loyalty and dedication throughout his life. Growing up, he developed a lifelong passion for racing, especially NASCAR and sprint cars, and rarely missed an opportunity to follow the action. He was also a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Known affectionately as the family “shopaholic,” Darin had a knack for buying anything and everything, and always in abundance. Darin loved his family and friends and would do anything he could to help. He held a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Bo, or as he lovingly called him, “Boobers,” whose companionship brought him great comfort and joy.
Darin was proud to be known as the family’s grill master, often found tending the grill and making sure everyone left with a full plate. He also enjoyed collecting Texaco memorabilia, always on the lookout for the next piece to add to his collection. Darin found joy in sharing good food, good stories, and time with those he cared about most.
Darin is survived by his children, Staci (Tom) Tinnel and Joshua Boynton; grandchildren, Jenna, Wyatt, and Jace Tinnel; step-father, Denny Snyder; sister, Kim (George) Brandon; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Matt) Thomas, Jessica (Josh) Moore, Alex (Madie) Brandon, Kyle (Cierra) Brandon; great nieces and nephews, Ava, Hunter, and Walker Thomas, Ryleigh and Jaxson Moore, and James and Silas Brandon; cousin, who was more like a brother, Jon Mathias; and friend, Tom Billings.
Darin is preceded in death by his parents, Larry Gill and Connie (Mathias) Snyder; brother, Larry W. Gill Jr.; grandparents, Carl and Virginia Gill; grandmother, Betty Gerding; grandfather, Carl Mathias; and his uncle, Bud (Ruth Awad) Gill.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 10:00am until a memorial service begins at 12:00pm. Following the memorial service, burial with military honors will take place at McPherson Cemetery following the funeral service.
The family of Darin kindly requests that family and friends dress casually for services.
