Daniel Lee Meents, age 65 of Green Springs, OH, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his home. Dan was born June 22, 1960, in Kankakee, IL, the son of Daniel Meents and the late Margaret (Brorsen) Meents.
Dan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and carried that same spirit of dedication and hard work throughout his life. He was a longtime member of Bellevue Eagles #490 and took great pride in his work with the Village of Green Springs, where he enjoyed maintaining the community's lawns and grounds. Dan loved the outdoors and could often be found camping, hiking, or simply enjoying nature. He was happiest when surrounded by family, firing up the grill for a cookout, and creating memories with those he loved most. Above all, Dan cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. To them, and to many others, he will always be remembered as the best grandpa ever.
In addition to his father, Dan is survived by his wife, Pamela (Zimmerman) Meents, whom he married April 24, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV; children: Bradford (Kristine) Meents and Kristina (Darryl) Bragg; step-children: Carrie Dixon, Jason (Nicole) Klopp, Jeremy (Amanda) Holmberg, and Joanna Dennis; grandchildren: Candice (Tyler) Moore, Paxton, Chloe, and Gabriel Klopp, Alexis, Porsche, Austin, and Mercedes Demers, Echo and Tristan Meents, Jaxon, Luna, Aliegha, Cameron, and Raelynn Holmberg, Reginald “R.J.” Holmberg-Stone; Chloe and Nicholas Dennis; great-grandchildren: Andrew Harsar, Preslee Moore, and Sophia Mirbal; siblings: Matthew (Greta), Deborah, and James (Debbie) Meents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dan is preceded in death by his mother.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, beginning at 1:00pm at the Bellevue Eagles #490.
