Courtney Peña

Courtney Peña, age 39 of Fremont passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Bucyrus Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1981 in Charlotte, NC the daughter of the late Juan Peña and Gwen Churchill.

Courtney will be remembered by her outgoing personality, willingness to help others, and her fighting spirit.

The pride and joy of her life were her three children; Mario, Mariah, and Juan. She was always looking for ways to enjoy life with them whether it was season passes at Cedar Point, helping with Mariah’s baton troop, or vacationing with the rest of her family in Outer Banks.

Courtney enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, reading, going to restaurants, and various comedy films oftentimes quoting them.  Courtney expressed herself artistically by drawing, fashion, and hair and make-up.

Courtney is survived by her mother, Gwen Churchill of Willard; children, Mario Corona IV of Columbus, Mariah Corona of Willard and Juan Corona of Willard; grandfather, Tom Churchill of Clyde;  grandparents, Steve and Kathy Burton of Bellevue brother, Joel Peña of Columbus; and sisters, Calida Peña of Bowling Green and Devan Dee of Savanah, GA.

Courtney is preceded in death by her father, Juan Peña; and her Grandma, Marjory (Oberdorf) Burton.

Friends will be received Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 1-6pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm. At the funeral home.
