Clarence VanDyke, Jr., age 56 of Clyde, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his home. Clarence was born June 29, 1969, in Toledo, OH, the son of Clarence Vandyke, Sr. and Grace Elizabeth (Humbarger) Urbine.
Clarence enjoyed spending his time camping and fishing and looked forward to weekend trips to Lima. He loved classic rock music, especially Ozzy Osbourne, and was a longtime fan of football, racing, and wrestling.
Family meant everything to Clarence. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren, and was known as a father figure to many. His kindness, guidance, and steady presence will be missed by all who knew him.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Shawn (Kerby) VanDyke, whom he married in April of 2000 in Norwalk, OH; son, Cody (Amber) Vandyke; daughter, Elizabeth Vandyke; grandsons: Camden, WalkerKade , and Atreus; brothers: Ralph (Beth) VanDyke and Myron “Buddy” VanDyke; and sisters: Betty (Jason) Carolus and Angel Vandyke. Along with nieces and nephews
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents.
Services for Clarence will be held privately.
