Charles W. Heuring, 91, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at The Stein Hospice Care Center. He was born July 15, 1934 in Bellevue the son of Guerdon L. and Edna E. (Haas) Heuring.
Charles, a graduate of Bellevue High School, dedicated many years to his work at Whirlpool in Clyde, where he was employed from 1965 until his retirement in 1994. Prior to this, he began his career as a gas station attendant and also worked at Gross Lumber.
He served in the United States National Guard and was a member of Eagles Aerie 490 and St. John’s Lutheran Church. Charles had a knack for yard work, which he always concluded with a cold beer at “The Mullet.” He was a regular at Jenny’s Amsden for breakfast and, though he never owned one, he always had dog treats at his house. Above all, he cherished camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Tonya) Heuring of Bellevue and Neil (Stephanie) Heuring of Greenville, South Carolina; Grandchildren: Allison, Alex, Gabrielle, Dax, Magdalynn, and Jocelynn; step grandchildren: Hayley and Jared; and great grandchildren: Landon, Macie, and Lainey.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Heuring, whom he married September 11, 1955; She preceded him in death in 2016. And brother, Donald Heuring.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service will begin on Saturday, February 21 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
