Carol Maye

Carol Maye, 82, of Clyde, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Born on July 30, 1943, in Bellevue, she was the daughter of Dale E. and Dorothy (Brandal) Loudenslager.

A Clyde High School graduate, Carol dedicated 36 1/2 years at Clyde Savings Bank, retiring as assistant vice president. Her deep faith was a cornerstone of her life; she was a longtime member of Mt. Carmel Church, where she served as a youth fellowship leader for over 30 years and hosted bi-weekly in-home bible studies. Carol was also an active member of the Clyde Career Women and a Campfire Girls leader.

On October 7, 1983, Carol married Jean Maye at Mt. Carmel Church in Clyde. Jean survives her, along with their niece, Jaci (Brian) Coghlan of Westerville, and nephew, Randall (Bethany) Loudenslager of Avon. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews; a great-great nephew; and brother-in-laws, Leigh Maye, Noel (Sharon) Maye. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Loudenslager, and her niece, Angela Marie (Loudenslager) Adkison.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, September 14, from 2-6 pm at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday at Mt. Carmel Church, 4997 CR 183, Clyde, followed by burial at Parkhurst Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Church Women’s Group and WHVT Clean Air Radio.
