Carla R. (Baker) Thompson

Carla R. Thompson, age 71 of Bellevue, formerly of Beach City, OH, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Orchard Grove Assisted Living in Bellevue. She was born January 6, 1953, in Massillon, OH, the daughter of the late Carl L. and Elizabeth B. (Grant) Baker.

Carla graduated from Fairless High School and enjoyed being in the high school band. She loved growing up on the family farm in Beach City and told many stories from the farm and farm life. Carla loved her mom and dad very much. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends and loved to laugh, which was infectious.

Carla is survived by her children: Kari (Darren) Tucker of Strasburg, OH, April (Matt) Thompson-Drown of Fremont, and Christopher (Brittany) Thompson of Beach City, OH; grandchildren: Emily Tucker, Dylan Tucker, Camron Thompson, Jaden Drown, Lizabeth Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Savannah Thompson, and Laylah Thompson; great-grandson, Jacob; and siblings: Lyndall Baker, Lori Cimerhenzel, Lisa Baker, and Christopher Baker. 

In addition to her parents, Carla is preceded in death by her sister, Corrine Baker.

A celebration of Carla’s life will be held on July 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at The Beach City Park located at the corner of 93 and 212 in Beach City OH. Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clyde, is assisting the family with arrangements.
