Calvin Rohrbacher II, 69, of Republic passed away Monday, December 12, 2021 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. He was born September 18, 1952 in Bellevue the son of Calvin R. Rohrbacher I and Idona C. (Fry) Rohrbacher-Hay.
Calvin attended York Elementary School in Bellevue and was a 1970 graduate of Republic High School. After graduation, Calvin attended Bowling Green State University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education majoring in History in 1974.
He was employed at the former NBC and later Rinks in Bellevue; He worked in sales for Carter Lumber in Clyde, and most recently was employed by Walmart in Fremont. Calvin was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Republic as well as the Republic Lion’s Club.
Calvin is survived by his brother, Mark Alan (Debra) Rohrbacher of Republic; sisters, Kathleen Nancy (Mark) Kesler of Tiffin and Brenda Jeannette Grieve of Tiffin; Nieces and nephews: Erin Grieve, Kai (Mikki) Grieve, Kevin (Tracy) Kesler, Mark (Hannah Wilson) Kesler, Jeremy (Becky) Walters, Joshua (Amanda) Walters, Jessica (Ben) Nichols, and Jeffrey Walters; 17 great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Calvin is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Rohrbacher; stepfather, Alva Hay; niece, Gwendolyn Kesler; and brother-in-law, Patrick Grieve.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 2 p.m. until a funeral service begins at 5 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will take place at Castalia Cemetery at a later date.
