Bryan "Skip" Edward Nottke, 64, passed away July 15, 2020 at his home in Bellevue. Born October 6, 1955 in Norwalk Ohio.
Skip was a devoted son, brother, uncle, friend and all around good guy. He was a Cleveland sports fan all the way Indians, Browns, and Cavs. Ricky Rudd was his favorite Nascar driver. There wasn't much he didn't enjoy collecting. He was in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Skip played trumpet in the high school band and concert band. He was the manager for the BHS football, basketball, track and wrestling teams during his high school years. He played bocce ball, bingo caller and dartball at the Club Amer-Ital, also a member of Bellevue Eagles. Skip was a regular blood donor for many years.
In 1974 he started working at the American Baler, right after graduating from high school for 46 yrs. He was a master welder most of those years and union secretary for local U.A.W.. Skip's plans were to retire on August 2, 2020. After retirement Skip and Carm Loparo planned on starting some of their many planned road trips. Skip was a good friend to many and always there to help when needed.
Skip is preceded in death by parents Cathryn Grimm Nottke, Charles Nottke; grandparents, Otto and Anna Nottke and Fred and Cora Grimm, best friend Carm Loparo who was more like a brother, cousins, nephew, aunts, uncles and step brother. He is Loved and missed by all.
Skip is survived by his siblings: Jeanie (Jeff) Tennant, Richard "Dick" (Sherry) Nottke, Bruce (Nancy) Nottke and Mary Lou Nottke; nephews, niece, great nephews, great niece, many cousins, Geri Leber friend of the family, Beth Kessler special friend to Skip for many years, step mother Jane Nottke, step siblings: Libby Close (Rich),Jon (Donna) Close ,Elinor (Tony) Mayse and many friends.
On Saturday April 3, 2021 at 1pm there will be an interment ceremony with prayer and blessing at the Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery at 2602 Bogart Rd, Huron OH. There will be a memorial service following at Lyme Village on State Rt 4 Bellevue, OH in the Schaeffer/Wolfe Barn. A reception will follow with food and drink.
