Bonnie Geyer

Bonnie L. Geyer, 67, of Fremont passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at her home.  She was born November 15, 1955 in Fremont the daughter of Willis and Bettye (Clewlow) Murphy. 

Bonnie was employed by the Whirlpool Corporation until her retirement in 2019.  Bonnie was inspired by Helen Keller and learned sign language.  She became very proficient and offered interpreting services to anyone in need.  She embraced the deaf community and in return, they embraced her.  She can best be described as strong, tough, and caring.  She was a loving and proud grandmother and appreciated the simple things in life whether it was a sunset, fireflies glowing at night, and the beauty of nature.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers and various crafts.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, John C. Geyer whom she married July 2, 1977 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont; Two sons: Jamison Geyer of Fremont and Justin (Cynthia) Geyer of Fremont; 2 twin granddaughters: Alyssa and Brodie Geyer; brothers, Darol Murphy and Earl (Laura) Murphy; and beloved grand-dog: Annie.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Steeves.

Friends will be received on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde.
