Blake Fleure Obituary

Blake Robert Fleure, age 19 of Tiffin, was born August 29, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin, OH. He passed away May 3, 2024. Blake is the son of Denice (Perkins) and Eric Fleure of Tiffin, both survive. Blake was also survived by his older brother, Colton Henry Fleure of Tiffin; paternal grandparents, Jess and Mary Fleure of Attica; maternal grandparents, Dennie and Cindy Perkins of Clyde and Pam Wagner of Clyde; maternal great-grandmother, Artie Perkins; as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Blake was preceded in death by great-grandparents: William Henry Perkins, Bertha Rodgers, Robert Geyer, Olive Dilts, and William Clyde and Mary Fleure.

Blake was named after Blake Fruth and paternal great-grandfather, Robert Geyer, both of Attica. Blake's father, Eric, was mentored by Mr. Fruth while employed during high school on their family dairy farm and looked up to him with admiration. Robert "Papoo" Geyer lived next door to Eric growing up and was a huge influence on him. Blake was such a happy baby as evidenced by his larger-than-life smile on any picture taken of him. He always woke up smiling unlike his brother, Colton.

Blake graduated with Honors at Seneca East High School in 2023, and from Vanguard Sentinel Career and Technology Center where he studied carpentry. In his earlier years at school, Blake played baseball and basketball. During middle and high school, he was involved in Cross Country.

Blake loved life. He enjoyed outdoor activities the most. He enjoyed walking the many nature trails of Seneca County parks with his Aunt Michelle and Uncle Brian as well as kayaking at Mohican or Garlo Nature Preserve where he would leave us in his wake. Blake loved to fish and was part of a professional walleye fishing team with his "Pa" Dennie. Out on the waves before the crack of dawn and back to the marina with their limit, just in time for breakfast. Always eager to make additional money, he did the mowing at home, his grandparents' house, and his aunts. His favorite zero turn mower was grampa Jess's Cub Cadet, but there was no use telling him to slow down. Blake also loved his dog, Sammy, with all his heart and affectionately called him "M Sheep".

Blake constructed furniture and turkey mounts for use at home and for family with the thought of making it a side business. Blake was mathematically inclined and loved to study money investments, watching the stock market, and would love to share his thoughts on investments to anyone who shared his interest in finances. He did not watch TV much, but instead would rather read a book. And of course, his favorite food was grandma Mary's bar-b-que ribs and grandma Cindy's fruit pizza.

Blake enjoyed collecting football cards and coins with his brother Colton. They would go to card shows with their dad and buy a little bit of everything. Blake always seemed to get the best cards out of new packs, always leaving Colton wanting to buy them. Blake was always up for trading them back and forth (as long as he came out on top). Blake and Colton always had a friendly competition happening whether it would be just goofing off and teasing each other or in cross county at Seneca East. Blake always seemed to have the leg up on Colton. Blake also loved playing Uno cards with his grandma Pam.

Blake was a quiet gentle soul whose faith in God was unwavering. Blake attended church whenever he was not working and Bible study when he could. He was a member of the Harvest Temple Church in Clyde. Blake was kind and courteous, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked, and had an excellent work ethic. Blake's first job was at Rural King while still attending high school and was currently employed at American Plastics of Tiffin where he loved his job.

Blake lives on in the hands of his Lord and Savior and is flying with the angels in heaven. Our hearts our broken and he will be missed by all who loved him and we are grateful for the time we shared with him on this Earth. The family wishes that we all remember to be more empathetic towards one another and be supportive of the problems or issues they may be experiencing. We all must help, support, and love each other and prioritize what really matters.
