Betty McConkey

Betty McConkey, 96, of Bellevue passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.  She was born November 26, 1927 in Norwalk, the daughter of Leslie Q. and Frances A. (Saladin) Homan.

Betty worked as a secretary at the former Seybert United Methodist Church in Bellevue.  She was member of the Queen Esther Chapter of the Eastern Star.  She married Merle McConkey on October 18, 1950 at Norwalk First United Methodist Church; He preceded her in death 2013.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Val) of Perrysburg, Steven (Sheri) of Findlay; daughter, Shelia Pastor of Kearny, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty is preceded in death by her sisters, Elnora “Jane” Schaffer, and Margret “Margie” Hilson.

Friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024 from 4-7 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Pl., Bellevue.  The funeral service will be Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 at 11 am at First Church, 901 Northwest St., Bellevue, OH, 44811.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
