It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Betty (Biller) Humbarger, age 86, of Bellevue, who passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Betty was born on August 21, 1938, in Tiffin, OH, daughter of the late Sylvester and Estella (Hoffman) Welter. She was a devoted grandmother, sister, and friend, remembered for her unwavering kindness, strength, generous spirit, and warm sense of humor.
She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others before herself. Her home was a place of warmth and comfort where everyone felt welcome. As the proud owner of Betty’s Family Restaurant, she spent countless years serving her community with love, good food, and a warm heart.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Mary (Norbert) Missler; grandchildren, Nicholas (Muriel) Missler, Wesley (Heather) Missler, Ryan (Amber) Missler, Kiel (Alyssa) Missler, Angel Ward, Jeremy (Sarah) Wiswell, and Elijah (Jessica) Wiswell; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Jim Wiswell.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Humbarger whom she married on April 28, 1957 in Tiffin, OH; daughter, Ruth Wiswell; great-great grandchild, Luna Schwanger; and numerous siblings.
Her memory will be forever cherished, and her love will continue to guide us.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at York Chapel Cemetery, 2252 Co Rd 292, Bellevue, OH 44811.
