Berniece Peters

Berniece Peters, age 90 of Bellevue, OH, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17, 2025. Her departure was serene, and though we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing that she is now in a place of eternal peace and love. Berniece was born on June 2, 1934 the daughter of the late Henry Frederick and Marie Doris Weilnau (Hazelback).

Berniece Graduated from Milan High School. She worked at General Electric in Bellevue, and later was a professional painter and wallpaper installer for both residential and commercial clients.

She was steadfast in her faith for the Lord and made it a point to share that faith with others whether through words of comfort or acts of SONG. Her unwavering belief was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with a kindness that touched everyone she met.  She embodied the values of love and compassion, always seeking to uplift others through the strength of her faith.

Berniece is survived by her children: Jeanette (George) Lyons, and Mike (Sandra) Peters; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Mary (Donald) Boos, Elden (Mary Lynn) Weilnau, and Marilyn Ries. 

In addition to her parents, Berniece is preceded in death by her siblings: Helen Koch-Nusbaum, Henry Weilnau, Robert Weilnau, Leslie Weilnau, and Melvin Weilnau.
