Barbara L. (Luc) Nieset

Barbara L. Nieset, age 71 of Fremont, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Barb was born in Fremont on September 28, 1950, the daughter of her now deceased parents, Lynda L. (Beatty) and Theodore “Pete” Luc.

Barb graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1968.

She married Joseph E. Nieset, from Clyde, on April 24, 1971. Barb worked for 35 years at Clyde Savings Bank. She then worked for T.R.I.P.S. as a dispatcher and driver. She was a 4-H advisor for the Clyde Farmers and Farmerettes, along with her husband Joe. Barb was also an EMT for Green Springs EMS.

Barb loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and Little Rudy, her dog. Everyone who knew Barb, knew Rudy. She was a great and caring person.

Barb is survived by her husband, Joe; sons: Jason Nieset and Scott (Melany) Nieset; grandchildren: T.J. (Taylor) Nieset, Cody Nieset, Lindsay (Jack) Howser, Brooke (Michaela) Bentley, Kyle Nieset, and Josh Nieset; siblings: Ted (Ruth Anne) Luc, Susan Luc, Cynthia (John) Devore, Tim (Lesia) Luc, Tom (Pam) Luc, and Lisa Jackson.

Friends will be received, Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 9:30am until a Memorial Mass beginning at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 609 Vine St, Clyde, OH 43410. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barb’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road Perrysburg, OH 43551, or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
