Barbara Martin

Barbara Martin, age 73, of Fremont, OH, passed away on February 9, 2026, at Countryside Manor Healthcare in Fremont. Barbara was born on February 23, 1952, in Toledo, OH, the daughter of Tom Walldell and Edith Janick.

Barbara grew up in a large family, having 13 siblings. She found joy in the little things that made life warm and meaningful. She had a special love for penguins, delighted in crocheting pieces made with care and patience, and enjoyed spending time outdoors where she felt most at peace. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and reflected her kind and thoughtful spirit. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by her sons: Robert Martin of Tiffin and Dennis Martin of Fremont; and daughter, Patsy Meiner of Fremont. 

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Martin; and her mother, Edith Janick.

Private services will be held.
