Barbara L. (Scheerer) Hackenburg-Baker

Barbara L. Hackenburg-Baker, age 87 of Clyde, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, OH. Barb was born November 4, 1935, in Clyde, the daughter of the late Merrill and Ruth (Mann) Scheerer.

Barb worked as an Educational Aide for the Clyde-Green Springs School System for many years.

Barb enjoyed knitting, painting, and traveling. In her latter years she enjoyed putting Legos together, playing cards, and going out to eat with friends. 

Barb is survived by her children: Beth Hackenburg of Lindsey, OH; Susan (Bill) Bergeman of Charlotte, NC, Richard (Paula) Hackenburg of Bellevue, and Keith (Mary) Hackenburg of Castalia; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, James Scheerer of Fort Wayne, IN.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by first husband, Donald Hackenburg; second husband, Roland Baker; and grandson, Brett Beebe.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 5-7:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 10:00am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
