Ava Riffle, 15, of Monroeville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She was born June 9, 2006, in Sandusky, Ohio the daughter of Robert C. Welch and Becky Riffle.
Ava attended Monroeville High School where she was in the 10th grade and participated in the Color Guard and as a mat maid. She adored animals, especially horses, cats and her fish. She aspired to become a veterinarian. Ava loved the outdoors and taking pictures, while spending time with her friends. She recently became an avid collector of crystals.
Ava is survived by her mother, Becky Riffle of Monroeville; sister, Brittany (Josh) Hall of Willard; brother, Brandon (Christina) Welch of Norwalk; maternal grandparents: Vaughn (Sharon) Riffle of Republic and Linda Ralich of Milan; paternal grandparents: Robert C. (Marti) Welch of Clarksfield and Mary Ann (Ron “Bompa”) Hatfield of Norwalk; Uncles and Aunts: Brian Riffle of Willard, Randall Baumer of Republic, Rachel (Clayton) Heimert of Republic, Chrissy Sassaman of Bellevue, Robin Welch of Norwalk, Shelley Fannin of Norwalk, Jason (Megan) Welch of Massillon, Josh (Joline) Welch of Gardnerville, NV and Sam (Angie) Farmer of Norwalk; uncle and godfather, Diaundre Nickelson of Sandusky; great aunt, Barbara McCourt of Castalia. Nieces and nephews: Arianna Hall, Jamison Hall, Corbin Welch, and Caden Welch; her best friends: Sophie, Neveah, Lexi, Jaiden, Julian, Aubrey, and Courtney; and numerous cousins and friends.
Ava is preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Welch; step-grandfather, George Ralich; aunts: Lori Morgan, Casie Riffle, Diana Heibertshausen; and best friend, Icyss Moon.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 1 – 4 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, Ohio.
