Arvil H. “Whitey” Howard, age 79 of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at The Bellevue Hospital. Whitey was born July 18, 1940 in Louisa, KY the son of the late Andrew and Alma (Wallace) Howard.
Whitey enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Whitey is survived by his wife, Margie (Swiney) Howard, whom he married June 19, 2010 in Clyde; sons: Eddie Howard of Bloomville, and Tony (Wendy) Howard of North Carolina; daughters: Tammy Kinn of Tiffin, and Dawn (Vincent) Kurtz of Tiffin; step-sons: Michael (Kim) Clevinger of Republic, and Ronald (Melody) Clevinger of Green Springs; step-daughter, Tammy McFellin of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters: Mary Levans of Bloomville, Shirley (Wayne) Bollinger of Attica, and Irma Adams of Michigan.
In addition to his parents, Whitey is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
As an expression of love and concern for the community of Clyde, Whitey’s services will be held privately. Burial will take place at McPherson Cemetery.
