Arvel Tipton, 52, of Clyde passed away at his home on June 21, 2024. He was born September 28, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Arvel Lee (Rebecca) Tipton and Virginia (Helsel) Ferrel.
Arvel enjoyed a cup of coffee and telling a good story. He loved Southern Gospel Music, watching WWE wrestling, White Castle sliders and going out to eat with his family at the Route 20 Diner. He was an animal lover of everything but birds. He was a member of Anchor of Hope Church in Port Clinton.
He is survived by wife, Vicki (Chiow), whom he met at the Ohio Apostolic Campgrounds during church camp. They were married on February 18, 1992 in Kentucky; Also surviving are his children: Gabrielle Tipton of Clyde, Grant (Alyssa) Tipton of Louisiana, and Garrett Tipton of Clyde; grandchildren: Malachi Tipton, Meshach Tipton, and numerous adopted grandchildren; mother, Rebecca Tipton of Kentucky; and siblings: Albert (Sam) Tipton of London, Ohio,Randy (Annabelle) Chaffin of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Shawn Chaffin of TN, Patricia Holcomb of KY, Clayton (Shannon) Chaffin of Grove City, Ohio, Josh Helsel of Columbus and Frank Helsel of Columbus.
Arvel is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from Noon - 3 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde where a funeral service officiated by Pastor James Pitt of Anchor of Hope Church will begin at 3 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Anchor of Hope Church, 1854 East Perry Street, Port Clinton to assist the family.
