Artie Perkins, 97, of Clyde passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born November 20, 1927 in Honeybee, Kentucky the daughter of Denny and Carrie (Vanover) Perry.
Artie was a homemaker, and mother of 12 children. She was a kind gentle soul with a warm heart and displayed unconditional love to everyone she met. She was a woman deeply rooted in faith.
She is survived by her children: Brenda (Gene) Perry of Green Springs, Dennie (Cindy) Perkins of Clyde, Janice Taylor of Sawyer, KY, Joe Perkins of Vickery, Jeff (Kathy) Perkins of Bellevue, Nancy (Stanley) Hill of Greenwood, KY, John (Teresa) Perkins of Owingsville, KY, Cheryl (Joe) Gill of Clyde, and William Perkins of Barbourville, KY; 29 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Perkins whom she married on January 13, 1947 in Whitley City, KY; children: Bennie Perkins, Vonda Mathis, James Perkins; and grandchildren: Tyson Perkins, Wesley Mathis, Travis Perkins, Blake Fleure, and Christopher Eubanks.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 24, from 2-5 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde where a funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday. Burial will follow at Block Cemetery, Republic.
