Arthur Hopkins

Arthur Hopkins, 77, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Kingston of Vermilion from a lengthy illness.  He was born March 22, 1944 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania the son of Walter and Grace (Watson) Hopkins.

Mr. Hopkins worked at the Norfolk Railroad in Bellevue and retired in 1999.  He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, spending time with family and telling stories.  In later years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife of 55 years throughout the western United States.  He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and loved watching football.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonya (Mike) Neiding of Vermilion, Ohio; son-in-law, Donald Eastman of Norwalk, Ohio; two grandchildren: Matthew Eastman and Lindsey (Aaron) Putnam; and great grandson, Landon Eastman, all of Norwalk.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Grace Hopkins; wife, Susan Hopkins; daughter, Mary Eastman; sister, Peggy Grimes and Joanne Eddings; brothers, Lester (Smoky) Hopkins and Jimmy Hopkins.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
