Allene Taulbee, 80, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
Allene was born January 15, 1941, in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of Langley and Alma Risner. She was a homemaker and a good “southern woman” who enjoyed cooking biscuits and gravy for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden, crocheting, and bird watching. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Allene married Lowell “Toby” Taulbee on August 22, 1970, in Clintwood, Virginia; He preceded her in death in 2012.
She is survived by her two sons, Lowell Allen (Stacy) Taulbee of Kentucky and Greg (Sara) Montgomery of Bellevue; three daughters, Raelene Phipps of Bellevue, Terry (Tim) Fidler of Bellevue, and Tammy (Tim) Moyer of Bellevue; 17 grandchildren: Travis, Emerson, Zachary Taulbee; Lyndsey, Maddisyn, Dawson Montgomery; Bryson, Kendall, Preston, Shayler, Caleb Phipps; Cody Fidler; Justin, Kaylen, Erin, Kirsten, and Brandon Moyer. Two sisters, Nina Slone of Bellevue, and Delois Williams of Salyersville.
In addition to her parents, and husband; Allene is preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Aslept; brother, Stanford Risner; and son-in-law, Jeff Phipps.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue; A funeral service on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 1000 Gardner Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
