Alice Woodall, age 88, of Clyde, OH, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH. She was born March 15, 1937, in Clyde, the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Setzler) Van Meter.
Alice worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Francis for 27 years. She was a talented painter, often gifting her artwork to family, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and reading. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Linda) Woodall of Oak Harbor, Brian (Kristin) Woodall of Tiffin, Margaret (Ken) Kerlin of Houston, TX, Shirley (Daryl) Allgyer of Sycamore, Deborah (Chris) Wagner of Fremont, and Loretta Johnson of Jeffersonville, KY; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her brothers: Ted (Sandy), Russ, and Terry (Diane) Van Meter.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Woodall; sister, Barbara Korecki; brothers, Daniel and Benjamin Van Meter; and sister-in-law, Sue Van Meter.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 4–6 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 147 W. Forest Street, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde.
