Alice M. (Merrett) Cochenour

Alice M. Cochenour, age 89 of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at The Bellevue Care Center in Bellevue, OH. Alice was born June 30, 1933, in Norwalk, OH, the daughter of the late Harold Merrett and Fern (Bailey) Erthausen.

Alice enjoyed spending time at the lake, camping, completing puzzles, and playing Bingo. She was an avid Ohio State fan. Most of all, Alice enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking motorcycle rides with her son, Gene.

Alice is survived by her children: Lloyd “Gene” (Denise McClintok) Cochenour, Jr., of Fremont, Ann Cochenour of Clyde, and Deb Heishman of Green Springs; grandchildren: Diane, Karen (Willy Worrell), and Shelley (Jamie Holcomb) Heishman; great-grandchildren: Adrianna, Kylie, and McKenzie Holcomb, Kelsey (AJ Twigg) Worrell, Akira (Cuba King) Thames, and Clarissa Poole; sister: Mary (Edward) Stohl of Norwalk; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog, Chico.

In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Eugene Cochenour, Sr.; great-grandson, Justin Poole; brother, Raymond Merrett; sister, Jane Mills; and son-in-law: Kevin Franks.

Friends will be received, Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10am until a funeral service beginning at 12pm, noon, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at Block Cemetery, Republic, OH.
