Agnes F. (Bartl) Burgess

Agnes F. “Cookie” (Bartl) Burgess, 87, recently of Marion, and formerly of Michigan passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at The Meadows of Marion.  She was born July 28, 1938 the daughter of George and Anna Katherine (Rospert) Bartl. 

She is survived by her three children: Debbie (Tim) Taylor of Prospect, Ohio, Sue (Wyatt) Fetter of Marion, and Doug Mitchell of Marion; 6 grandchildren: Kristen (Brandon) Beery, Jon (Lindsay) Fetter, Matt Taylor, Kaila Taylor, Lacey Mitchell and Brittany (Buddy) Call; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Burgess; a great grandson; and siblings: Marcella Arndt, George Bartl Jr., Clementine Bartl, Anna Williams, Joe Bartl, Edmund Bartl, and Mary Nickell.

A graveside service will be held at Reed Assumption Cemetery on Thursday, August 14 at 11:30 a.m.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is assisting with arrangements.
