Aaron "8 Ball" Whitaker

Aaron Michael Whitaker, a.k.a. Uncle Aaron, a.k.a. 8 Ball, a.k.a. Uncle 8 Ball, a.k.a. Uncle Meatball, age 47, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 17, 2026. He was born on August 23, 1978 to Gene and Christine (Love) Whitaker. They preceded him in death.

Aaron was a collector of all things Skulls and laughs. He was always joking like, “Dream on broomstick cowgirl”, “Your sock is untied”, "What would you be doing if I hadn’t called you over?,” and his favorite, “You dropped your pocket”. He also loved doing funny voices at drive thru windows and asking them to give the “look good discount” to his wife. Aaron was an amazing singer and was always singing or whistling a tune. He sang at both of his sisters' weddings. He never met a stranger and he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed something. He also loved anything remote controlled. One of his friends said it right when calling him a “semi-adult” and he would have loved that.

Aaron was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and friend and he will be greatly missed forever.

Aaron is survived by the love of his life, Leigh Ann Jennings whom he married on June 14, 2014; sons, Devin Whitaker, Evan Howton, and Liam Whitaker; daughter, Rikki Whitaker; granddaughter, Lylah Meade; sisters, Beth Desautels and Jamie (Mike) Snyder; nephews and nieces, Josh, Joe (Lexie), and Sophie Desautels, Bradley (Anna) and Mason Snyder; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 25th from Noon-4:00pm with a time for sharing to begin at 4:00pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811. Immediately following the service, a potluck dinner will take place at the Bellevue Rec Center Activities Room.
