Winona (Orwig) Hill

Winona Marie (Orwig) Hill, 93, of Bellevue passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Extended Family Assisted Living, Bellevue.  She was born June 8, 1924 the daughter of David and Florence (Sindla) Orwig.

Winona was a 1943 graduate of York High School.  She was a Fuller Brush Sales person for a short period of her life, handing out free samples at local grocery stores.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Leslie (Chris) Hill of Fremont, and daughters, Mary (Michael) Myers of Marion, Deborah (Daniel) Barbosa of Florida, Kathy (Lloyd) West of Bellevue; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester J. Hill, whom she married June 12, 1943; a son, Thomas; daughter, Janet Leber; five brothers: David, Denver, Willard, Alvin and Robert Orwig; sisters: Irene Orwig and Violet Smith; grandchildren: Karen Leber, James Leber and Kenny Fox; great grandson, Cash Fox; and two infant great-great grandsons: Julian and Gerald Mulligan.

Friends will be received on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
