William Maines

William Maines, 93, of Fremont passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Heritage Village of Clyde. He was born October 26, 1924 in Alvarado, Virginia, the son of Robert L. and Nillie (Stuart) Maines.

Bill developed the Midway Mobile Homes property, which is now known as Emerald Estates. He loved to travel to California and Arizona, but especially to his birthplace in Virginia.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy (David) Dayringer of Fremont; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren; Four Siblings: Rita Mae Brooks of Bellevue, Bradley (Louella) Maines of Bellevue, Wava Belknap of Clyde, and Charles Maines of Clyde.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eileen (Hartman) in 2008; a son, John Maines; siblings: Evelyn Smith, Dale Maines, James Maines, and Virginia Maines; and step-brothers, Cliff Maines and Rob Maines.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery.
