Terry Hackenburg

Terry Hackenburg, 68, of Bellevue passed away at his home on Thursday, March 7, 2019.  He was born January 6, 1951 in Bellevue, Ohio the son of Eldon and Alberta “Speck and Tootie” Hackenburg. 

Terry worked for many years at Norfolk Southern Railroad in various departments. His true passion was cooking, you knew you were truly blessed when he showed up with a home cooked meal for you. He was gifted with the ability to fix anything and enjoyed woodworking and furniture making. He served in the US National Guard and was a member of VFW Post 1238.

He is survived by his daughter, Alisa (Brad) Smith of Monroeville; He was Poppy to six Grandchildren: Parker, Stella, Nolan, Hudson, Carson & Chloe; and siblings: Clair (Becky) Hackenburg of Clyde, Denny (Leslie) Hackenburg of Bellevue, and Sharon Kae Kessler of Bellevue. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Hackenburg.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until a luncheon will begin at Noon at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 428 Kilbourne Street, Bellevue.   Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
