Ruth E. Geiger

Ruth E. Geiger, 88, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Willows at Bellevue. The daughter of Alfred and Helen (Mitchell) Weber, Ruth was born on February 17, 1929 in Bellevue. She married Charles C. Geiger in Castalia on October 22, 1949; He preceded her in death in 2008.

Ruth was an avid quilter and a member of the Quilting Guild. She enjoyed camping and traveling and was a member of the Happy Homemakers Extension Club for over 50 years. Ruth was a member of the former Congregational United Church of Christ and Fireside Zion United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children Karen Geiger-Johnson of Westerville, OH, Eugene Geiger of Heath, OH, and Beverly (Jeff) Lepley of Bellevue; 11 grandchildren: Andrew and Benjamin Johnson; Cassandra, Jennifer, Grant, Brooke, and Tess Geiger; Stephanie, Cynthia, Matthew (Serena), and Jeffery Lepley II. 7 Great Grandchildren: Austin and Caitlyn Eisenhauer; Ariana, Isaac, Meleena, and Ariah Lepley; and Jeffrey Lepley III.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10 a.m. until a funeral service officiated by Rev. Nicole Pickens begins at 1 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
