Rita (Henney) Shannon

Rita Shannon, age 74 of Russellville, TN , passed away May 21, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. Rita was born October 8, 1944 in Bellevue the daughter of the late Clifford and Irene (Nearhood) Henney.

Rita is survived by her husband, Tim Shannon of Russellville, TN; whom she married September 26, 1964 in Lincoln Park, MI; two sons: Rodney (Sherry) Shannon of Morristown, TN, and Jason D. (Mindy) Shannon of Jefferson City, TN; a daughter, Shanett Shannon; three grandchildren: Azia, Jeremia, and Nikki; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Judy Pierce, Lana Heath, Sandra Messina, and Beth Henney.

In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her grandson, SP4 Dakota Trammel whom passed away while serving in the military on October 7, 2012.

Friends will be received Friday, May 24, 2019 from 1:00pm until a memorial service beginning at 4:00pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811.
