Philip Smith

Philip Smith, 51 of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.  He was born February 10, 1968 in Sandusky, Ohio the son of Donnie Joe and Lillian (Jones) Smith.

Phil was a member of Bellevue Alliance Church.  He was employed by Schwerman Trucking in Perrysburg 20 years.  He loved and took pride in his work especially training drivers and taking cross country trips.  He cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy (Ommert), whom he married July 11, 1987 in Bellevue; three children: Zachary Smith of Bellevue, Micaela Smith of Bellevue, and Annalise Smith of Bellevue; his mother, Lillian Smith of Sandusky; and sister, Jennifer Smith of Sandusky.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donnie Joe Smith and mother-in-law, Janice Ommert.

Friends will be received on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 11 a.m. until a memorial service begins at 1 p.m. at Bellevue Alliance Church, 1001 Monroe Street, Bellevue, Ohio 44811.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist in future educational expenses.
