Olive Mygrant, 92, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born July 29, 1927 in Ballville Village, Ohio the daughter of Artis McClellan and Edna Mae (Smith) Taylor.
Olive married Keith E. “Pete” Mygrant on October 1, 1944 in Ballville; He preceded her in death in January 2018.
Olive was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Along with raising eight children with her husband, Olive worked as a waitress, factory worker, and also sold Tupperware over the years. She enjoyed square dancing, cooking, and baking pies especially for her children and grandchildren. She was always recycling and researching the latest health and nutrition trends. The warm cup of coffee and smile for anyone who came to visit will be missed many.
Olive is survived by her eight children: Randee (Charles) Becker, Gail (Franklin) Veith, James (Marla) Mygrant, Thomas (Pamela) Mygrant, Kenneth Mygrant, Beverly (Richard) Holmes, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Mygrant, and Robin Mygrant; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren with 1 expected soon; 5 great-great grandchildren with 1 expected soon; and 2 great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Olive is preceded in death by her 5 siblings: Ernest Ray Taylor, Thelma Lucille Taylor Boni, Artis McClellan Taylor II, Robert Earl Taylor, and Betty Jane Taylor Shaffer; and 3 great grandsons.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A Celebration of Olive’s Life will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Flat Rock Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 7500 County Road 29, Flat Rock, Ohio 44828. Burial will follow at Meadowgreen Memorial Park, Huron.
