Mary Carter Obituary

Mary Lou Carter, 83, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Bellevue Care Center.  She was born March 27, 1935 in Elyria, OH the daughter of Irvin and Hazel (Schwert) Schildt.

Mary worked as a practical nurse at the Bellevue Hospital before retiring in 1969.  She enjoyed camping, motorcycles, planting flowers, and cooking.  She married George Carter Sr. on October 10, 1953, whom preceded her in death in February 2000.

She is survived by her sons: George L. Carter Jr. of Bellevue, Dave (Donna) Carter of Green Springs, Mark Carter of Clyde, Randy Carter of Bellevue, Shawn (Valerie) Carter of Clyde, and Brian Carter of Monroeville; daughters: Mary Ann (John) Cooper of Muncie, IN and Sherri (Edward) Warwick of Macon, GA; Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Gary (Sara) Schwert of Toledo and Harold (Julia) Schwert of Fremont; and sisters: Louise Ann (Steven) Herrell of Oak Harbor and Jean (Emanuel) Torres of Fremont.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Heaven Carter.

At Mary’s request there will be no services.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
