Margaret E. Dencer, age 84 of Clyde, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at her home. She was born October 28, 1933 in Sandusky the daughter of the late Elwin and Mabel (Jones) Strong.
Margaret volunteered and worked at many places over the years, such as the Board of Elections, Drug Mart, Clyde Parks and Recreation, and as a teacher’s aide. She was an Avid Clyde Flier fan and loved to attend sporting events. As of late, she took a strong interest in coloring.
Margaret is survived by her children: Danny (Mary) Dencer of Clyde, David Dencer of Clyde, Deann Wagner of Fremont, and Debra Hayden of Clyde; grandchildren: Holly Dagg, Nick Widman, Derek Dencer, Dustin Dencer, Kylee Bullock, Brittany Zartman, Bridget Coleman, Jim Andrews, Joely Beeker, Jen Andrews, Jake Gurney, Joe Gurney, and Curtis Mesnard; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill (Alice Auxter) Strong of Clyde.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, David Dencer who passed away November 25, 2015, and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Dencer.
Margaret’s family will be holding a memorial dinner on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Clyde VFW, 847 W Maple St, Clyde, OH 43410.
