Luster Hamlin

Luster Hamlin age 81 of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at the university of Toledo Medical Center. He was born June 8, 1936 in Smith, KY the son of the late Wick & Florence (Smith) Hamlin.

He retired from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky in 1991.

Luster was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at providence Baptist Church, Bellevue where he was a long time member. He enjoyed home gardening, reading westerns and studying the Bible.

Survivors include his children; Deborah L. (Andrew) Brzozowiec of Cleveland, Phillip (Connie) Hamlin of Norwalk, Clark J. (Traci) Hamlin of Milan, grandchildren; Malori (Justin) Crowder, Samson Hamlin, Joshua Hamlin, Kaitlyn Hamlin, great grandson; Jackson Crowder, brother; Walter Hamlin, sisters; Gladys (Ernest) Hensley and Geraldine (Robert) Eads.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Twilla Jean (Shafer) Hamlin whom he married Apr. 7, 1956 in Monroe, MI, brothers; Virgil, Clarence, Granville, Roy, Cecil, Robert Hamlin, sisters; Grace Wilson, Marie Fowler, Virgie Blanton, Juanita Daniels and Maxine Hamlin.

Friends will be received Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 from 4 – 7 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at 11 am at Providence Baptist Church, 1000 W. Gardner Rd., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
