Laveda David

Laveda Carolyn (Evans) David, 71, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at The Willows at Bellevue.  She was born April 7, 1946 in Heber Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Bedford and Elsie (Coke) Evans.

Laveda was a 1964 graduate of Clyde High School.  She was an avid and loyal Cleveland Browns fan.  She loved camping at Leafy Oaks Campground where she met some of her dearest friends.  She was an amazing wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend.  Her house was often “home” to many who also called her "mom" or "nana".

She married her wonderful husband, Delmar David on July 19, 2008.  They enjoyed a life of love and laughter with their family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters: Tammy (James) Buchanan, Heidi Black, Jeri (Rick) Straub; her spoiled rotten dogs, Cierra & Moe; step children: Kevin David, Kathy Emery, Dana Pearson, Chad David, Jason David, Eric David, Anthony David, and Allen David; Siblings: Jerry Evans, Sherry (Gary) Scott, Nancy (Neil) Meggitt, Anita (Matt) Cullen, and Julie Evans.; her brother and sisters-in-law: Mike (Barb) David, John (Paula) David, Mark (Wendy) David,Theodore David, Linda Rutter, and Karen David; She was “Worlds Best Nana” to: Haley Renae Frank, Danielle Kaye (Jake Murphy) Norman, Michael Scott Hahn, Samantha Jo (Rory Sheeks) Norman, Savannah Carolyn (Jacob) Armstrong, Cory Michael Black, Drew Buchanan, Sydney Rachelle Straub, Tessa Raeanne Buchanan, Evan James Straub and honorary grandson Gabe Smythe. Great grandchildren: Nolan Lee Lindsey, Jaxon Michael-Wayne Armstrong, Rydder Thomas Skylar Sheeks, Kodi James Armstrong, and expected Baby Boy Murphy and Baby Boy Sheeks in 2018.; and numerous Nieces and Nephews who adored their  “ Aunt Veda”.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Eric James Meggitt; son-in-law, Michael Wayne Black; and brothers-in-law, James David, Dan David, Delbert David, and Francis William David.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 3 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 6 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
