Julia C. Garman, 71, of Bellevue passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born October 30, 1947 in Bellevue, the daughter of Robert C. Long II and Felicia W. (Napka) Long.
Julia was a graduate of Bellevue High School. After graduation, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech & Hearing Therapy as well as Remedial Reading. She was a gifted musician and played the piano, cello, saxophone, among many other instruments. She shared her knowledge and passion of music by giving piano lessons to others.
She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the St. Christopher Study Club. She loved her family and having get togethers with food and gifts. Julia loved to travel and camp but had a great fondness for the East Harbor area, as well as the Marblehead Lighthouse
She is survived by her husband, Jerrold Garman, whom she married July 29, 1972 at Immaculate Conception Church; Three Children: Jill (Michael) Garman Neiger of Vermilion, James Garman of Bellevue, and Joshua Garman of Bellevue; and Two grandchildren: Alexander and Jessica Neiger.
She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffrey Garman.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
