John Edward Ruse 72 of Bellevue, OH passed away May, 25, 2018 at Heritage village in Clyde, OH after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cleveland, OH May, 30, 1945. His mother & father raised him and his sister Fran in Salem, OH.
He was raised Catholic & served as an altar boy. He played the accordion & piano as a child & was in the Boy scouts & made it to Eagle Scout. After he graduated High School he joined the U.S Marine Corp in 1963 & served until 1967.
He received awards for Good Conduct, Vietnamese service, National Defense Service & Rifle Marksmanship. He went to school for private investigation and practiced both private & Business Investigation for 10 years. He also worked in operation control for Northwest Airlines for 9 years, 2 years in Construction in assisting to build a hospital, 9 years driving truck as a car hauler & also worked in Marketing, Maintenance & Advertisement. He was married 5 times and had1 son and 2 daughters. He was also a member of the order of the Moose.
After he retired he enjoyed telling life stories, helping others, & loved spending time with his dogs, cat & friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Ruse, Ann (Kosch) Ruse & Sister Frances (Ruse) Dickey. He leaves behind his son Anthony Ruse & his great friends who he considered family & called his guardian angels Tabitha, John & Jacob Myers.
Friends will be received on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10 a.m. until a memorial service begins at Noon at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
