John C Hutchins, 72, of Clyde passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1946 in Lancaster, OH the son of Emmitt John and Pauline (Jolly) Hutchins.
John worked as an operator for Ohio Operating Engineer. He was a member of the Clyde Moose, VFW, and Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis R. (Harrah) Hutchins, whom he married on March 19, 1971 in London, Ohio; one son, Eric Hutchins of Perrysburg, OH and his daughters; Isabell & Ireland; step-children: Kim (Ben) Harvey of Clyde, Lee (Elaine) Gittinger of Green Springs, and Linda (Rick) Hickman of Tiffin; 5 step grandchildren; and 11 step great grandchildren; and 3 brothers: Charles A. Hutchins, Fred Hutchins, and Frank Hutchins all of Lancaster.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Emmitt Hutchins Jr. and step granddaughter, Angela Andres.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4 – 7 pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Where a funeral service will begin on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Green Springs Cemetery.
