James Aslinger Obituary

James L. Aslinger, 72, of Bellevue passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at The Bellevue Hospital. He was born January 13, 1947 in Folk Mountain, Tennessee the son of James and Virgie (Moody) Aslinger.

James served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was employed at International Metal Hose in Bellevue until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years and loved to bowl. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his beloved dog “Gomez”.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Grassi) Aslinger of Bellevue whom he married July 8, 1968 in Clinton, TN; one son, James L. Aslinger Jr. of Dublin, Ohio; 2 grandchildren: Joshua Lloyd Aslinger and Jessica Lynn Aslinger both of Dublin; a brother, J.C. Aslinger of Bellevue; and sisters, Polly Gilson of Tennesee and Sue (Fred) Cornett of Tennessee.

James is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold Aslinger and Paul Aslinger; and sister, Irene Bragg.

At James’s request there will be no services. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
