Grace Baum, 94, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Willows of Bellevue. Grace was born on July 29, 1923 the daughter of the late Charles B. and Christina (Gillman) King in Groton Township. She lived all her life in Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Leroy. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Seel, and a brother, Virgil King.
Grace was a homemaker and loved her family above all else. She was a great cook and known for her love of baking. She was the Cherry Pie winner at the Cherry Festival 8 years in a row. Grace loved her home and her flowers and much of her life was spent in her yard. In her later years, Grace was employed at the Kroger store in Sandusky. She was a demo there for 20 years.
She is survived by three children, James L. Baum (Evelyn) and Charles H. Baum (Sandy) of Bellevue and Ann E. Benton (Dan) of Cincinnati. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Daren Baum (Chris), Janet Baum (Dave), Val Baum, Timothy Baum (Barb), Shannon Van Ness (Norm), Chuck Baum (Diane), Sheri Simpson (Steve), and Tami Benton (Candi); 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday, April 6, 2018 from 6 till 8pm, and Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10am until time of service at 11:00am at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH, 44811. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery, Mason Road, Castalia, Ohio.
