Gloria M Burkhart

Gloria M. Burkhart, 81, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at The Bellevue Hospital.  She was born February 23, 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Walter Rittenhouse and Helen (Bowden) Seckman.

She married Burley Burkhart, Sr. on March 28, 1953 in Newark, Ohio; He preceded her in death in 2007.  Gloria worked at the General Electric Lamp Plant for many years.  She then owned and operated Parkertown Restaurant in Parkertown and later in Bellevue.

She is survived by her two sons: Daniel (Anne) Burkhart of Bellevue, David (Judy) Burkhart of Bellevue; Grandchildren: Matt Burkhart, Jessica Burkhart, Stephanie (Stu) Stanley, David (Carolyn) Burkhart, Derek (Lauren) Burkhart, Doug Burkhart, Jackie Lapata, and Ashley (Greg) Gowitzka; 9 great grandchildren;  3 sisters: Patty Gingerich of Berlin, OH, Sue Burkhart of Fremont, and Linda Fair of Washington.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, William and siblings: Lee Rumsey, Jeanie Mellor, and Charles Seckman.

Private family services will be observed.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue is in care of arrangements. Burial will be in Deyo Cemetery.
